Influenster & Me - Why I LOVE THEM SO

Influenster is by far one of my absolute favorite programs. It's free to join and the best part is you get FREE FULL SIZE PRODUCTS(most of the time)! Only thing you have to do is try them out and tell them what you think of the products! I have gotten so many amazing products from them already! If its your first time logging in to influenster you should take all the surveys right away! You wouldn't want to miss out on a VoxBox now would you? The surveys are short and to the point! It took me about 30 mins to fill them out honestly and accurately! I know! I know! Why Survey's? Survey's help them figure out what products are relevant to your everyday life!! You wouldn't want to get picked for things you wouldn't like now would you?

The higher your Influenster score the better chance you have to get exclusive Voxboxes! You make your score higher by completing the surveys, filling out your information, and connecting your facebook, twitter, and Pinterest accounts! The more followers you have on Social Media the better! If your a beginner or even an experienced blogger this is a great idea for getting the hang of the review process!

Your probably thinking SO what are VOXBOXES ANYWAY?? THIS, MY FRIENDS IS A VOXBOX:

I saved the best for last! VoxBoxes are the box of goodies that they send out with your products in them! They release new boxes every month or two and its like Christmas when they come!  I get excited everytime the delivery guy comes with my VOXBOX! Reason being you really don't know what you got until you open it! If you don't get picked right away don't get discouraged you WILL GET A VOXBOX!

 My last full VOXBOX had awesome wedding products in it! Once all of your surveys, and info are filled out you have to check back every week or so to see if there's a new voxbox listed OR You'll usually know a Voxbox is in the works because they will send you an e-mail with a link inside telling you that you have a voxbox pre-survey or that you have pre-qualified for a Voxbox(In my experience 99% OF THE TIME as long as you take that survey you have a Voxbox COMING!!) The VoxBox pre-survey usually takes between 2 to at the absolute most 5 minutes. Best Part: I FOUND ALOT of NEW PRODUCTS I ABSOLUTELY LOVE & SOME OF THE PRODUCTS THAT I RECEIVED IN VOXBOXES I GOT TO TRY THEM BEFORE THEY WERE EVEN AVAILABLE IN STORES! THE LYPSYL FROM MY NATURALS VOXBOX WAS AMAZING! You can see my review of the lypsyl HERE! 

After I got my VoxBox and did my surveys they also had BRAND CHALLENGES! Brand challenges aren't required and are completely optional to do. If you really like a product I'd definitely recommend it! The only thing that is absolutely required after you recieve your Voxbox is that you take the  I always do the brand challenges when I really like a product! Reason being you can win more of that product! Last VoxBox I got a FULL SET of the Lypsyl product line! I mean really Every girl knows you can never have too much Lyp Moisturizer!!!

Gillette Venus® Embrace Sensitive Razor Review #ItsNotMe

One part of being the reviewer is telling you the absolute truth even if its sometimes giving you a little "too much information" about myself because I know there's gals out there who can totally "Get It"! If I'm not giving you the Good, the Bad, and the absolute Lovely at all times than I'm not giving you a full review and there's no point in me reviewing a product for you! So just a quick warning this post may get a little TMI in some senses(most likely if your a guy)!

I told all of you in a previous post that I had gotten the NEW Gillette Venus Embrace Sensitive Razor to test BEFORE IT HIT STORE SHELVES and how excited I was to be among the first group of people to try it! If you didn't read that post you can find that HERE  Before I get started on the actual review let me start by telling you a little bit about me and how much I HATE HAIR! I'm Italian, my hair is naturally DARK, thick, and uncompromising! The only place I want hair to be is on my head and that's about it! If I could find some easy magical way to zap all of it away from my underarms, legs, and bikini areas(that would really last forever) I would without a second thought, but alas there is no magical way I have found yet so instead I'm stuck shaving with the rest of you!  Because of my huge disregard for hair in general I can't make it a day without shaving! Even though you all know I'm a Florida girl and we have mostly warm weather year round let me tell you how it could literally be negative 30 Degrees outside and I can promise you I'm still shaving everyday! I just can't deal! Even though I have to shave everyday my skin is still very sensitive! I still sometimes get the redness, irritation, and those dreaded razor bumps! Quick Fact: Did you know that 60% of women believe that their sensitive skin gets in the way of a close, smooth shave; but the skin symptoms women are experiencing may just be irritation from using the WRONG razor?! Me neither, but I know now!!!!

The Overall look and feel of the Razor
I'm impressed by the features of the Venus Embrace Sensitive Razor! I REALLY like that the refills can fit ANY Venus Razor Handle and that they are easy to change! I like that because sometimes like every other girl I know when I decide I like a brands product I like to try some of their other products too! And REALLY!? Who wants to HAVE TO buy a new razor handle every time they want to try a new cartridge? I personally think its easier, and more cost effective for the consumer when a brand allows your razor handle to interchange with all their cartridges! Don't forget it's earth friendly too! =-) An applause goes out to Venus for that! Also the Razor Handle has a nice cushy feel and is comfortable to hold in your hand! With 5 blades spaced closer together you can get the job done quicker with less chance of having missed spots or that 1 stubborn hair left over (you know the one that you always notice AFTER you get out of the shower!) All my fast paced BUSY mommy's out there will probably all happily thank Venus for that feature!  I also love that the Venus Embrace Sensitive includes aloe! As we all know I'm a Florida girl and I love the sun so any extra aloe is greatly appreciated! Aloe is also known to help keep the skin from being easily irritated!  Less chance of red spots and razor burn! All my sensitive skinned girls I know will probably be happy for that! No girl I know wants to be at the pool or the beach with red spots or razor burn on their legs or other lady parts!
The Venus Embrace Sensitive Razor comes with the razor handle, 2 razor cartridges, and a neat little shower hook with a suction cup on the back so that you can hang your razor on the shower wall when you are not using it. The price on amazon runs around 9.47 for the starter pack and 15.97 for the refill pack that includes 4 replacement cartridges)

Using The Razor
The Venus Embrace Sensitive Razor promises to provide a close shave with no irritation and I have to say it has made good on its promises. When I tried it out I decided to use just plain old soap to lather my legs before shaving(afterall they are claiming its the razor that causes the irritation not the soap/shaving cream you use to shave). Within 5-7 minutes my legs, armpits, and lady parts had a close shave with no irritation at all! The razor literally just glides along your skin which makes it easy to get the job done quickly and efficiently! I was actually really surprised that it was so quick and easy! Usually it always takes a good 15 to 20 minutes to shave my legs, armpits, and lady parts! Afterwards my skin was soft, smooth, and stubble free. The next day I went to shave and was really surprised by the hair re-growth or more accurately the lack there of! That in itself definitely shows it provides a closer shave than any other razor because usually when I shave with any other razor the next morning it looks like I didn't even shave the day before! Overall I was really impressed! They definitely knew what they were talking about when they said using the right razor has everything to do with it! All in all I would definitely recommend the Gillette Venus Embrace Sensitive to ANYONE and EVERYONE! I would ESPECIALLY recommend the Gillette Venus Embrace Sensitive to anyone that has sensitive skin or usually experiences irritation after shaving! A big thanks goes out to Influenster for sending me the best razor I've seen yet! As for my old razor it has conveniently found its way into the trash can! Out with the old and in with new! Sorry old razor #ItsNotMe It's YOU!

Gilette Venus® Embrace Sensitive VoxBox Unboxing & My Initial Impressions #ItsNotMe

Have I mentioned lately that I love getting VoxBoxes from Influenster? Everytime I get a box I feel like a little kid on Christmas! Sometimes you have no idea what will be in it and sometimes they give you a general idea like the brand of the item(or sometimes items) that will be in there! I knew I was getting something from Venus, but at first I had no idea what it could be! Any Guesses??? Too late here it is!

They sent me the NEW Venus Embrace Sensitive before it even hit store shelves! YES! SCORE! You have no idea how much I love getting to test and review new products BEFORE they even hit store shelves! For me it makes the experience that much cooler! My Initial Impressions

My Review of Rimmel London #StayMatte Liquid Mousse Foundation

Arriving in stores January 2014 is Rimmel London's Newest Foundation Stay Matte Liquid Mousse and I got to check it out before it arrived in stores! To say the least I was really excited to be among the first to try this product!!! Rimmel London's New Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation comes in 8 available shades Light Ivory, Ivory, Soft Beige, Sand, Light Porcelian, True Ivory, Classic Beige, & True Beige which makes it really easy to match almost any skin tone! (Colors are shown in order from left to right!)

Everyone knows I'm a true Florida Girl and I love the sun so naturally I chose True Beige. It matched well with my skin tone and went on really easily! Forgive me for the lack of my usual before and after pictures! I know I'm usually good at doing them right away and from 500 different angles, but I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth out 2 weeks ago so my sense of impending doom combined with the pain of them coming in had me over stressing and under-thinking everything. My face is still a little swollen, but I'm starting to finally feel better! Thank god that is over, but I'll save that experience for another post! 

The great thing about this foundation is that its oil free and you can easily tell because it doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy! It had no distinctive or strong scent like you sometimes find with other tube based foundations which I really liked! Also My fiancee didn't complain once about me having "that face stuff on" when going to kiss me! Men! They just don't understand!! haha! I wore it everyday for 3 weeks here so far and after putting it on I most times forgot I had it on! It's definitely light and airy! Since I was blessed with such wonderful "sensitive skin" most BB Creams & foundations usually break me out within days NOT the Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation! I'm happy to report that I've been using it everyday now for 21 or so days and I have yet to have a break out! Definitely a 2 thumbs up from me on that end! 

To sum it all up the foundation does everything Rimmel London says it does! It's feather light, comfortable to wear, blends flawlessly, and minimizes the appearance of pores!!! Overall I really enjoyed using this product and wouldn't definitely recommend it! I honestly have yet come across a better Matte Foundation yet!

Are you watching The Taste: Tuesday at 8|7c on ABC???

Recently, we(Jay and I) came across a new show on ABC called The Taste! It's on Tuesdays at 8/7C on ABC. Jay and I thoroughly enjoy cooking shows so this show was right up our ally! The Taste is a competition based cooking show hosted by Anthony Bourdain, Nigella Lawson, Ludovic Lefebre, and Brian Malarkey. all 4 mentors coaching 4 teams of cooks. The best part is that some of the cooks are professional chefs and some of the cooks are only home cooks. Every week they have different challenges. The judges BLIND JUDGE(meaning they have no idea who made it) the food based on ONE BITE!!!! Could you imagine making it on a cooking show, cooking for judges, and it coming down to JUST ONE BITE? I don't know about you, but I would love to see a home cook beat out most of the professional chef's!

Jay and I are really excited to see what happens on the next episode! It's looking like they are just getting warmed up and it's sure to be an exciting season!!!!
